Meet Jesse

Meet Jesse, a 1 1/2-year-old (January-March 2023) female, doll-faced Persian, with gorgeous, exotic looking golden eyes. Jesse was a young mom who came in from a horrendous situation with her kittens (who have all found homes).

Jesse is a very sweet, social cat who may not be a lap cat, but is always in the same room as her person and purrs as soon as you pet her. She will crawl up beside you on the couch for pets. Her fosters are shocked that she is still with us because is just as sweet as can be. Jesse has never met a stranger she doesn't love.

Her foster family discovered that Jesse is an excellent traveler, even loving a summer camping trip in an RV.

Jesse loves the affection of her humans so much that she will grab your hand, with light claws out, and lick. For this reason, NO YOUNG CHILDREN. She does enjoy the teenagers in her foster home.

Jesse LOVES other cats, and tolerates cat-savvy dogs who ignore her. She strongly dislikes dogs who are interested in her & bark a lot.

Jesse does have some "negatives" that her adopters must be prepared for: Jesse is learning that kitchen counters are not for jumping on. She has jumped on the counter to steal food left out or to dip her paw in a leftover glass of milk. She is getting much better, and knows she should not but will sneak when no one is in the kitchen.

As a beautiful Persian, Jesse also has a VERY high maintenance coat. She requires daily brushing, which she does not tolerate well. If she is not brushed daily, her coat quickly forms mats close to her skin that are not noticeable unless you look closely through her thick hair. When she arrived, her skin was being pulled by these mats and she was shaved. She has since been shaved by her foster again when her foster was unable to brush her for a week.

Poor, sweet Jesse is so lucky to have come into rescue and given the opportunity to live the rest of her life in a loving, home environment.

As a kitten herself, Jesse must go home with another young kitty companion, under the age of 3 years.

Sorry, we do not ship our cats or provide any transportation. All potential adopters should reside in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, New Mexico, or Louisiana. We will not adopt outside of those states. Who We Are: We are a private rescue and privately funded. WE ARE NOT A SHELTER, BUT A RESCUE. A rescue
is a PRIVATE HOME and not a public place to visit. All of our cats are spayed/neutered, FIV/FELV tested, wormed, de-fleaed, and vaccinated prior to adoption.

All cats are considered mixed breeds unless otherwise stated. As a rescue, we often don’t know a cat’s origins, and do our best to guesstimate their breed. This is not a guarantee. We do get purebreds from time to time and that will be stated in their description if known.
