Meet Jax
Jax has the prettiest tortoiseshell fur colors, beautiful amber eyes (that always look just a little concerned), and little white 'boots' on her front paws! Jax's previous family said that she's afraid of loud noises and strangers, which she has shown to be true. However, she has also shown the potential to relax with new people and in new places if given the time. Anyone interested in adopting Jax should be ready to provide her ample time to settle into a new home and respect her space - really earn her trust! We think that moving into her new home may cause her a little stress at first, but our staff can walk you through how to acclimate her. And, Jax is eligible for an Adoption Audition trial period of 30 days to ensure that she has the chance to acclimate to her new home.
If you'd like to meet our available pets, please check the "shelter information" box on the listing to see if the pet is located at our Fairfax Campus (4500 West Ox Road, Fairfax) or our Lorton Campus (8875 Lorton Road, Lorton). Then, come in during our open hours! Both of our locations are open Tuesdays and Wednesdays 12-5 p.m., Thursdays and Fridays 12-7 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays 11 a.m.-5 p.m. For more information on our adoption process, including requirements and fees, visit: www.fairfaxcounty.gov/animalshelter/adopt
