Jade Domestic Short Hair Douglas, MA

Jade came to us last fall with her brother, Fernando (Fern). She was caught by her feeder at ~6 months old from a community cat colony in a nearby town, and originally the plan was to spay and vaccinate her, and, because she was seeming like she did not want to socialize to people, release her back where she came from. Instead, one day she decided to bump her head into my hand while I was feeding her, and the idea that she had to be released became history. She wears her ear tip as a badge of honor that she chose to accept love and attention from people!

It took some time for her to figure them out, but Jade LOVES toys and lives for her wet food. She absolutely adores looking out the windows. She gets along well with other cats, and would likely do best in a home with other cats to help her continue to learn how be a proper and dignified house cat (as much as they can be!). Jade would love a home with an experienced cat owner. Cat-savvy older kids should be fine, but we have not tested her with younger kids. Jade has not been tested with dogs but we feel that calm, respectful dogs will be accepted by her easily.
