Hello there, I'm Ivan! I am a male kitten who is already neutered. I have a very soft gray tabby short coat, I was born April 9th, 2024. I'm a sweet, brave, and rather goofy kitten. You see, I ended up here at the shelter because of my curiosity. One day, I found a toy mouse and chased it into a van. Little did I know, the van was for a 'Mobile Vet Clinic'. Next thing I knew, I was being checked up, and neutered and then, whoops ! I was in a foster home. But hey, I'm not complaining. I've got energy, smarts, and I'm quite the social butterfly. Plus, I'm a pro at playing with feathers on a string. If you're looking for a fun-loving, friendly, and playful feline who is box trained and loves to be cuddled, look no further. I'm your guy! I am also great with other cats once I get to know them, and I love kids.
An application must be filled out and accepted before a meet/greet can be set up. http://yvpr.org/catadoptionapplication.html)
If accepted, you will hear from us within 72 hours. You will have the opportunity to ask questions before you meet the pet; an adoption may or may not happen at that time.
We do adopt outside the Yakima area IF you are able to come to Yakima to pick up your adopted pet. We do not have a kennel facility; all of our pets are in foster homes.
Meet/greets and adoptions take place at a site chosen by the adoption coordinator. If the cat you wanted to adopt is no longer available, please fill out an application anyway because adoptions don't always go through and it may be relisted. Your application will be kept on file for 30 days in case you find another pet you'd like to apply for.
The adoption fee covers vaccinations and worming. Flea treatment and veterinary care will be provided if necessary. If you are from out of town you will need a pre-paid spay/neuter receipt from your own veterinarian.
