Meet Ira

Ira came to our shelter as part of a hoarding case that began in summer 2021. The owner of the cats refused to cooperate with police and all 32 cats were stuck in cages at animal control for nearly a year. Shameful.

As you can imagine, growing up in a cage at animal control was awful. Though fed and cared for properly, Ira and his housemates missed out on the love and attention of a real family. He is a shy, sweet boy who needs a home that will show him the good things life has to offer. Ira needs an adult home without dogs. Other kitties would be ideal so they can help him learn how to be a cat.

Ira is about 2-3 years old. He is neutered, vaccinated for rabies and distemper, microchipped, feline leukemia/FIV negative, and is current on flea/tick preventative.
