Meet Inky
Hi there! I'm Inky. I'm young and I've got a lot of love to give. I'm sweet, friendly, and a bit goofy too. I love to play, but I'm just as happy to curl up in your lap and purr away. I'm always ready for a new experience and I promise to keep you entertained with my antics. I'm still curious about this new world, and I'm ready to explore it with you. Adopt me, and let's start our adventure!
Inky's life did not start in a fairytale. She had to fight to be who she is today. She was diagnosed with FIP when she was still a tiny kitten. She was strong enough to endure treatment and has blossomed through her observation period. After 168 days (yes we counted) she was officially medically cleared. She is a Survivor! This means that she gets to be a normal cat now! She is a little overweight for a young cat, but with the right diet and plenty of play she will become her very best self. Inky is a very affectionate and cuddly kitty, which is the best because she is probably the softest cat in the world.
Inky has been good with the senior cats and small dogs in her foster home, but was intimidated by a larger dog in a previous foster home.
FIP is a mutation of feline coronavirus that can happen in some cats who have lower immune systems or who have a genetic predisposition. There is no continued care after treatment. Most cats have been exposed to felines coronavirus and only a small percentage will experience a mutation. You can read more about FIP here: https://www.sockfip.org
Inky is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested FIV/Felv negative.
Adopters will also receive an adoption package of goodies valued at around $100 if you visit one or both of our pet store partners after adoption (Tabby & Jacks and/or All Paws).
Misfit Felines Inc is a foster based 501(c)3 rescue. All of our cats are in foster homes. The first step in the adoption process is to submit an application.
