Meet Indigo
Hi there! My name is Indigo. I'm a handsome 1 year old boy and still on the hunt for my forever home. I'm looking for a quiet home, with no dogs or little kids. I struggle with change and will need a special home with lots of love and patience that will give me plenty of time to adjust and settle in.
To summarize my first year, I was born outside, but my sister convinced our first foster to bring us in when we were 2-3 months old, and I’m so thankful! My sister was really outgoing and got adopted pretty fast. I’m a lot more anxious, so it’s taking me longer. But I know my home is out there!
I was very afraid of men when I first came to the rescue but I moved to my current foster home in July and have slowly over time become less scared of my foster dad. Although, I still perfer women and follow foster mom around much more. I dont like being reached for or anyone trying to pick me up, but when I am ready I will come up to you to ask for pets with my sweet little sqeaky meow.
I love to eat! I know I’m kind of a little guy, but I can put away the treats. I like crunchy treats, squeezy treats, all the treats! I also love to play and carry my toys around the house but what I really, really, love is being around calm and friendly cats! They help me feel braver and remind me that people and getting petted are ok. I would definitely do best in a home with a nice kitty friend.
Since I get so anxious, I’m only available for private meetings. I’m neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. This is covered by my $150 adoption fee. Email adoptions.spspca@gmail.com to meet me or if you have any questions for me.
