Hurricane Domestic Short Hair & Russian Blue Mix Millerton, PA

Hurricane was rescued from an abandoned house along with some other cats and kittens. His life has recently been turned completely upside down due to being left behind (through absolutely no fault of his own) when his people moved out of the house. Hurricane is a very sweet male cat and is also very handsome! He looks very much like a Russian Blue and he has a muscular build! He has a unique white spot on his foot but that is the only spot that he has! Hurricane is a young cat of only a few years old as estimated by the vet in May of 2024. He enjoys attention from people more than just about anything else! When we rescued him, we thought he was coming to us to get the canned food we had but we quickly learned that he actually was coming to us because we were people and he loves people! (He actually prefers DRY food and didn't eat the canned that we later tried to feed him.) Hurricane would like a stable home environment where he can decompress after all of the major life changes that he has had to recently endure. He would be completely fine as an only pet because he tends to be so people-oriented but he is also fine with other cats as long as they are kind to him. He is used to living with lots of other cats and kittens! Hurricane has not been dog-tested because he is still adjusting here and we want to give him a chance to settle in first but we absolutely CAN dog test him if it makes a difference for you! Hurricane would prefer a calm home environment with someone who is willing to give him lots of attention and love!
Why does he break our hearts in a particularly powerful way? Because he follows us around during evening chores. He is the last to stare a piercing goodbye in the morning as we hurry off to work. He sits and literally stares at you while you go into another room to clean it, looking through the glass panes of the door like the separation might be forever if he messes up and loses sight of you. Hurricane was abandoned. Left behind. This was through no fault of his own. Although he was abandoned, he somehow still loves people. He still trusts them. He still wants to be with them and offer his love to them. He doesn't let his past betrayals get in his way even though he is a very smart cat. He isn't bitter, isn't seeking revenge, isn't out to get anyone. This cat is forgiveness and perseverance personified. He has such a strong little spirit that matches his lean, muscular exterior. For this, we admire him immensely...
Hurricane has been neutered, is up to date on vaccines, dewormed, flea treated, FIV/FeLV/HW tested negative, and microchipped! He is ready to go NOW!!!
