Hubert (Bert) is a low maintenance, peaceful adult cat (approx. 4 yrs. old), looking for his forever home!

This sweet orange boy is relaxed and independent--he lounges around most of the day in a cozy secret place or a sunny window, and will calmly explore or request pets when comfortable.

A big fan of watching the outdoor wildlife and taking cozy naps, Bert is not interested in high energy play; better enrichment for him might be puzzle feeders, exploration toys (like boxes/paper grocery bags), and observation platforms (window hammocks, etc.).

This handsome dude currently lives with one adult in a small apartment; he has some alone time during the week and doesn't seem to mind, although he really likes human attention too. Bert would thrive in a calm, quiet, predictable home with housemates who pet him as much as possible.

Hubert is a peaceful, quiet cat who appreciates love and companionship once he gets comfortable. His forever home must earn his trust for the first few days, allowing him to open up and gain confidence.

Bert enjoys a snuggly hiding spot but that does not mean that he doesn't want to be found! Once you find him, this guy LOVES a head scratch and will purr like an engine, rubbing all over you and asking for more. He would do best with people who can let him do things on his own time. He is happy to observe from afar at first but will reciprocate affection when you give it to him.

According to the shelter that he came from, Bert is fine with dogs and other cats, although his current foster home does not have any other animals. He would be okay with children if they were cat-savvy and respectful of boundaries. He has a calm demeanor and is never aggressive when annoyed or scared.

This classic orange guy is so ready to enjoy the good life with humans who are willing to let him take his time, develop trust, and give back all the love he gets! Could that be with you?

Cats are up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed/neutered, treated for fleas and/or ear mites, de-wormed, and microchipped.
