Meet Hera
HERA was one of 8 cats rescued from a Bedford hoarder along with 90 dogs. Her injured bad eye was given time/treatment to heal, which proved unsuccessful, and her eye was removed. Her quality of life has greatly improved and she seems to be a much happier cat.
Once rescued, she was placed in a foster home for the TLC she was deprived of while living in a feces laden cage with her siblings. She was frightened of human touch when she came to the shelter, but after a few weeks of TLC in a foster home, she purrs like kittens just seeing you come near, does love rolls, and would like it if you never stop petting her. Hera can get fiesty for just a few seconds if overstimulated or if you rub her belly, so she may be best for children over 8 years old who understand boundaries. Her foster mom adored her independent character, the passion she has for her people, and feels certain she will prove to be a treasured family member for many years to come.
