Hazel and her kitten Mango were welcomed to the rescue on January 23rd, 2024. She was a stray taken in by a caring neighbour. She was unexpectedly pregnant and gave birth in their home to three adorable kittens, two of which were rehomed within their family.

Hazel is a medium haired Tortie. She is a very sweet girl with the most gorgeous big amber coloured eyes. She absolutely adores being pet and will throw herself on her back for rubs. She is a very quiet and affectionate girl that has had enough of kitten rearing. Her kitten Mango, an orange Tabby, was already eight weeks old and Hazel appeared to be done weaning him, so we separated him from her when they arrived to the Rescue as she would hiss and swat at him. Hazel has since been spayed and will never have to have another litter. She seems very happy to be on her own again.

This gorgeous girl has very soft glossy medium long fur and a fluffy long tail, which she swishes about majestically as she walks. Hazel happily rushes over to you for attention when called, and will lovingly rub against your legs. She is a young and curious girl that likes to explore her surroundings, and loves to play with catnip toys. She absolutely loves bird and squirrel watching from windows.

Hazel is very outgoing and affectionate. She is also very mischievious! She loves to knock things off surfaces. If you want a cat that will keep you on your toes and guessing where something of yours went, she's your girl!

She has a little bit of Tortitude around other cats, as she grumbles and hisses at them upon sight. That being said, she gets used to them being around and walks past them without incident if they don't bother with her.

If you are interested in providing a loving forever home for Hazel, please complete an adoption application.
