HAMLET and her brother who were found under a bush after being left behind by their momma. We thought HAMLET was originally a boy, hence her name. She is the bigger of the two but does not show it. HAMLET is a very sweet girl who likes to play all day and when she’s tired looks for a nice comfy box to settle down for a few hours. Just like her brother she loves crawling up the couch and settling down on your chest or shoulder for some cuddles. Her favorite toy is the pom poms and loves to carry them around. While she likes her siblings she loves doing her own thing. She is the more submissive one in the pack so she gets picked on a lot but is not afraid to let her people know to come to the rescue. She’s also one of the bravest out of the group when it comes to small dogs.

She has been highly socialized with both cats and dogs in her foster home, so she does need to go to a home with another pet (either cat or dog) or be adopted with another kitten. Please consider adopting this sweet girl today!

NOTE: HAMLET is FIV+, but don't let that scare you. In the case of kittens under 6-months of age, a ‘positive’ result can mean the kitten has inherited antibodies from its mother —not that the kitten has—a virus. These inherited antibodies usually go away by 6 months. Meaning they never had FIV to begin with. We recommend a retest at 6 months to confirm or rule out the earlier diagnosis. Even if the second test does confirm FIV, there is no reason for alarm. FIV is feline immunodeficiency virus. Cats can live long, healthy lives with FIV. FIV is primarily transmitted to other cats via bites (must be transmitted through blood) and is not transferred via litterboxes or food bowls. The virus only lives outside the cat for 2-3 hours so it is not contagious to other cats in non-aggressive households. Actually, many people own FIV+ cats and do not even know they carry this virus. It is asymptomatic and unless a blood test is performed, there is no way of knowing if a cat has it. FIV is ABSOLUTELY NOT transmittable to humans or dogs.

Anyone interested in our cats will be required to fill out an adoption application.
