Meet Grandy
If you're looking for a sweet, regal boy who needs just a bit of TLC, Grandy is your guy!
Previously TNRed in Norfolk he was picked up by AC in Chesapeake. He was immediately recognized as friendly because he’s that cool as a cucumber.
This is the most regal, good natured, calm guy around. Soon after foster intake it was noticed that he had some mouth trouble and was diagnosed with severe stomatitis. Throughout all the trials and tribulations, vet visits, and two dentals and now with almost no teeth left, Grandy never sprung an attitude. He is as sweet as he is graceful.
He rides to the vet and hangs out in the waiting room in a harness and just leans on the comfort of his foster mama. He can likely be leash-trained. No teeth has not stopped this boy from having a good appetite and eating both wet and dry food.
His foster mom say he is just so calm and good natured. Never starts fights. Is confident and calm and stays above the drama.
He is affectionate and often finds his way onto a lap. He’s more inclined towards human love than rowdy playfulness but has found himself involved in some cat on cat play time here and there.
He is gorgeous, regal, affectionate, quiet, curious, sweet, trusting, chill, and would be the human equivalent of a cultured intellectual with a sweater vest and a pipe.
Currently on twice daily transdermal cyclosporine to reduce inflammation in his gums. Under the care of a veterinarian. Just some remaining irritation from stomatitis after two dental surgeries.
He’d likely be fine as an only cat as long as he gets attention from his human, but he can also adjust to other pets just fine.

Settling In: Embracing the Rule of Threes Transitioning to a new environment is quite a journey for a cat. To assist with this, we like to remember the Rule of Threes, a timeline to help you gauge your new cat's acclimation:
• 3 Days: Time to unwind and begin to understand their new surroundings. Feeling safe.
• 3 Weeks: Familiarization with their new home and daily routines. Knowing their home means they’re easier to get back home if lost.
• 3 Months: Full integration into the family, truly feeling at home, personality comes alive. They blossom!
Remember, patience is key! Behavioral changes are part of the process. For more insights on acclimation, head to our FAQ section at https://www.feralaffairs.org/faq/.
Our Promise for Every Cat and Kitten: Before coming home with you, each cat is:
• Spayed/neutered to promote their health and wellbeing.
• Vaccinated, including rabies & FVRCP, to protect against diseases.
• Microchipped for an added security blanket - to reunite you when picked up and scanned.
• Screened for FIV & FeLV, ensuring they start off healthy.
• Treated to remain parasite-free, because comfort matters.
• Given any additional veterinary care needed for ongoing health issues.
• Sent home with a full medical history to hand to your vet’s office.
