Gizmo is the littermate of Beverly. Originally named for his hot and cold attitude, he reminded his foster family of “Gizmo” from the Gremlins movie - don’t feed him after midnight, or you may see his “spicy” side! Gizmo was trapped as a young kitten from a feral colony in Guelph, and took a little longer than his siblings and colony-mates to warm up to his human foster family. Of course, his foster family has dedicated lots of time and love into ensuring he is trusting of humans and ready to be adopted. His foster family is happy to say he is no longer a spicy cat.

Gizmo may never be a lap cat, but he does love attention on his terms! He prefers to stay on the ground most times, but tolerates being picked up, and loves to be petted. Gizmo has been living with young kids, dogs and other cats and kittens, and does well with all of them! Gizmo was likely taught hunting skills by his mom, and his favourite toys are mouse toys for that reason. Gizmo would love to go to a home with another cat to play with, as he’s lived in a colony until coming into foster care, and has lived with other cats there as well.
