We are a foster-based rescue. You will need an appointment to meet the animal where they are being fostered, with an approved application. Home checks and vet references are required for all adopters. Please only apply if you can pass a home check.

Meet George!

George is approx 8months old is the cutest, sweetest thing, but is still *very shy*. George and his brother were trapped on a farm property at about 8 weeks old. The foster has been working with them, and they have made a lot of progress (brother Ron has already found his forever home). George will need a quiet and patient home, to help bring him out of his shell. They are fostered with kids, other cats and dogs. Older, quieter children are fine, loud ones are scary, and he will hide. George gets along really well with other cats, but still isn't too sure about the dogs and generally avoid them.

George spends a lot of time, peaking out from under or around things, watching the going-on in his environment, chasing balls and springs. George is on a 8a/6p wet food schedule (dry food is free feed) and will happily accept pets while he eats (even purr a little). He will eat churo treats out of your hand and happily chase a wand toy (and even roll on you when he gets into playing and forgets to be 'shy'). George can be picked up and held, but its not his favorite thing.

***Update: George has begun actively rubbing on the fosters legs and requesting chin scratches and pets, and has become more playful and has a great purr motor. This boy has the softest fur and sweetest, deep, soulful eyes. He will truly be someone's best friends, given the chance to settle into a place to call home.

George has a reduced adoption fee of $150..

*While we try to ensure every cat is healthy, no rescue cat is perfect. Please keep in mind that ANY kind of stress can disrupt a cats life. New environment, new people, new food. Cats can sneeze or have a runny nose too, so please give them time to adjust. Many of our cats come from horrendous outside situations. Many had open wounds, infections, parasites, and were malnourished. Regardless, EVERY cat deserves another chance. Please take this into consideration when filling out an adoption application. All newly adopted animals should be established with your vet as soon as possible, before any emergency arises.
