Meet Gaston
***Gaston is experiencing an Extended Stay with us! So, in hopes of helping him find his forever home sooner, his adoption fee has been reduced by 50% to only $30!
Gaston is an 8 month old neutered male. He is current on his vaccinations, microchipped, and FIV/FeLV negative!
Meet Gaston! This guy couldn't be any more different from his namesake. He is a sweet, reserved kitten who loves to play with his cat friends and keep an eye on his favorite people.
Gaston’s life at the shelter started out rough, as he had no experience with humans and had a major injury to his chin. Treatment was scary for him, but he had a great recovery, went into foster care and over time, learned that people aren't so bad and that a home is the best place to be. While Gaston is still quite shy, he is loving the house cat life- he loves toys, loves cat trees and sleeping on chairs and couches and loves soaking up the rays from the windows. He will sit in your lap occasionally, but really has to work up the courage to do so. Recently, he learned to use his voice to say hello- it is the cutest!
Gaston adores his cat friends in foster and is required to go home with another cat. If you are looking for twice the love, Gaston gets along great with Thistle who is also up for adoption. Gaston would appreciate a calmer, patient home with respectful kids 10+ and no crazy dogs. He may do well with a calm, small dog given slow interactions but has not met any in foster care.
Please keep in mind that due to Gaston's shy nature, he will need plenty of time and patience in his new home before he shows his true, wonderful personality. It is best to introduce cats slowly into your home, keeping them confined to one space at first where they can get used to you and the sounds and smells of the home. With lots of love, time and good treats, Gaston will make an excellent addition to a quieter family!
