Say hello to Fuego! This is handsome 2 year old ginger Persian cat who IS available for adoption! He too is one of many (there are now over 200) who is part of our international cat rescue mission! He is neutered healthy, and playful and ready for adoption here in the USA (NYC area)!

Fuego was rescued by our partners in Cairo Egypt when he was found being pulled around by a group of kids with a rope tied around his neck! Thankfully he was not injured and was likely rescued just in time! Unfortunately there are no laws that are enforced for animal cruelty there...which is one of the many reasons why we are helping move cats from the Middle East to the USA.

Fuego is a very sweet boy with an easy going personality who loves cuddles (as you can see by his video) he can go to any home as he is good with all! He is a lover of people, cats and dogs! He currently shares his foster home with many other rescue cats and a dog too!

Fuego is neutered and vaccinated (rabies and distemper), blood tested negative for feline viral infections; FIV/FLeV, microchipped and treated for fleas/ticks/dewormed.

We read every application that is submitted and it can take us 2-4 days to respond to most applicants. If we believe you may be a potential match for the cat(s) we will respond to you via email. This email will detail all the next steps required in order for you to be officially approved as an adopter. Our email can easily be flagged as spam/junk so please check those folders for our response.

We will ask all potential adopters who pass the first step to submit/complete the following;
-2+ personal references
-1+ veterinary reference
-home interior photos/videos
-your pet policy from the apartment management or landlord (if you rent)
-1+ alternative caretaker(s) identified for the cat
-schedule a phone interview with a member of our team

*General inquiries about any cat cannot be responded to without an application submitted first. If the cat is on petfinder.com the cat is still available.

Adoption fee is non-negotiable.

What your (tax deductible) adoption fee/donation covers:

Spay/Neuter surgery
Full vaccinations (2 x distemper/FVRCP and feline rabies)
Blood Tests - FIV, FLeV, Heartworm, in some cases additional blood work
Anti-Parasitics - all cats are dewormed, treated for fleas/ticks, ear mites.
Microchipped - All cats have a registered microchip
Travel Passes/Fees- the adoption fee also pays for the cat's travel
*Please keep in mind that a majority of the cats for adoption from the Middle East were found in terrible health condition, some requiring extensive veterinary care and/or surgery. We do not increase the adoption fee despite the additional funds used to rehabilitate these cats.

*You may see our cats posted on petfinder or other adoption sites with our rescue partners in Canada and Europe as we are all working together to find great homes for these cats. If the cat is still on petfinder.com he/she is available.
