Meet Freedom
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Freedom is a handsome boy who has been through a lot, including recent moves from Staten Island to New Jersey and then back to NYC. Though his soul is gentle, he can be very timid and fearful at times with new people or new environments. Any adopter should be prepared to be patient during the first few weeks as he may take a while to adjust to a new place and person. After several weeks in his present foster home, though, he's emerged as a friendly, very social cat who follows his foster around the house and has even started to enjoy belly rubs. With a patient & calm person or persons, Freedom should do great. He's not yet a lap cat, but seems to be moving in that direction and presently keeps his foster company on the sofa.
Freedom LOVES to play with his wand toy and can't wait to play with the other cats in the home (he's slowly being introduced to them at the present). Freedom appears friendly, playful, and completely non-aggressive with other cats.
Freedom should definitely be in a home where he'd have at least one feline companion. Given how social he's become in just a few weeks, would also recommend him for a home where there are multiple people and/or a person around pretty often so he won't get too lonely. He's been friendly and gentle, even when spooked such as being picked up, so he would likely do fine with children old enough to understand how to interact well with cats. Any adopter should also be prepared for his grooming needs which are on the high side for a MC mix: this gorgeous boy has a very thick coat that must get frequent attention. Right now he likes being detangled with fingers and not a comb, but the latter is definitely recommended in his future.
