Meet Floozie and Fetch (Bonded Pair)

Floozie and Fetch are passionate 2 year old felines who are looking for their forever home.

Floozie is a lover. Once you walk into the room, even before you pet her, her purr box is always on and loud. She wants you to know that she’s always happy to see you. Flopping down beside you or in your lap, asking for a rub, is a common occurrence. She loves playing on her tower, playing with toys, looking out the window, hanging with Fetch, her brother, and sleeping.

Fetch is pretty laid back, but everything must be on his terms. He likes to think things through prior to action. He’s also a talker and always has lots to say. He especially likes to announce when he’s going potty. He will climb onto your lap and curl up or snuggle up against you or on you. Although not as playful as his girl Floozie, he does play daily. Toys that fly from above or dragged on the ground attract him. He loves climbing and sitting on the tower. And when he’s out of the room, he’s extremely curious and brave, exploring as much as possible.

Floozie and Fetch are fed around 7 am. They must be fed separately because Floozie loves food and gobbles hers right up. Fetch likes to take his time and will yield to Floozie if she tries to eat his food. After breakfast they look out the window for a bit and then it’s nap time. Floozie often will sleep in her cat carrier, which is left open. They sleep most of the day. Then around 4pm they are playing with their toys. Dinner is at 6:00 pm. Then they are active until around 10:30-11:00 pm. After dinner their foster usually plays with them for a bit.

Floozie and Fetch are mostly confined to their foster’s bedroom. They live with 3 dogs, 1 of which is not happy about the cats. They have lots of toys, multiple scratching posts, a cat tower, a desk by the window that has a blanket on it for them to use, and their foster’s bed. At night, depending on the dogs, the foster will gate the dogs upstairs and let the cats roam the first level of the home. They like this and will sit on their foster’s lap while watching TV or reading. They love exploring and looking out the window.

Background information from their foster…

Floozie and Fetch are young (1-2yrs old). They were the last strays to be taken in from an elderly couple who lived in the country. The house, a rather small home, had 27 cats and it was in the woods. The cats were pretty much outside cats, but they came in at night for feeding. I was part of a rescue team of 4, asked by the owner to remove the cats and save those that could be saved. This was an extremely difficult day. The cats had been on their own for over a week. The cats were living in an unhealthy environment, and many did not get along. They were constantly living in fear. When we arrived, the cats scattered, hiding, afraid of people. All except Floozie and Fetch, that is. The entire day, they were rubbing up against my legs, talking to me. At times, they would jump up on the exam table, seeing what we were doing. They were not afraid, or if they were, their desire for love and attention was stronger than their fear! Fetch even jumped into one of the cat carriers, while talking to me, as if saying, “Take me away from here! I want to be loved!” And I decided right there I was going to do whatever I could to find them a loving, safe home. Out of the 27 cats, only 5 were healthy and social enough to rehabilitate.

Floozie and Fetch were in a house with 25 other cats. They are fine with other cats. If the dog is mellow and friendly towards cats, they are fine with them. May take a bit for them to trust the dog though. They have been around a 9 yr old and a 13 yr old children. They may be afraid at first but their foster feels they’ll warm up quickly. No experience with younger kids, so it's an unknown.

If you are looking for two resilient young cats to add to your home then consider Floozie and Fetch!
