Meet Felina

Characteristics:
• Felina is a laid-back, friendly, independent, smart, and playful cat.
• She goes into Indy-500 mode after meals, scaling 3-4 steps at a time!

Likes & Dislikes:
• Felina loves window gazing from the cat tree.
• Loves toy mice and toy fish on toy fishing rod.
• Does not like having her nails clipped.
• Scared of ceiling fans; dislikes vacuum cleaners.
• She needs scratching posts around the house.

Sleep Habits:
• Felina will sleep on almost anything and anywhere, except pet bedding.
• Likes napping in the bed on top of her cat tree.
• She will nap on the couch with you when you watch TV!

Litter Box Habits:
• House trained.
• Uses the litter box after her morning & evening meals.

Notes:
• Felina will be good as an only cat; best in a home without dogs and without young children.
• Does well being left alone for prolonged periods as long as she has food available.
• Caution must be observed around doors and windows at all times, as she may try to get out during the adjustment period.
• Felina requires patience and time to adjust. Don’t expect an affectionate kitty; she does love being around humans but dislikes displays of affection.
• She will hang around the kitchen as a way of saying she wants food.
• She will tag your arm or leg as a way of saying she wants to play.
• She will follow you every time you go into the kitchen, meowing for food; this girl
LOVES food!

Interested in adopting from us? Please fill out an adoption application and an adoption agreement on our website. Simply follow the steps below:

- Go to www.asbrescue.org

- Click the tab ADOPTION and scroll to the bottom of the page

- Click ADOPTION APPLICATION

- Click ADOPTION AGREEMENT

**Please read the adoption application and the adoption agreement thoroughly and reach out with any questions**

Please note that there is a $25 nonrefundable application processing fee. This fee will be credited toward the adoption fee total if the adoption goes through. Adoption fees for purebreds, i.e. Bengal, Siamese, and Maine Coon are higher than domestics. Adoption fees for kittens are higher than seniors. Payment can be made via PayPal and Venmo (links listed on our website), or by check. Please include the name of the cat you're interested in with the payment.

All required vetting is completed before cats go to their forever homes. This includes spay/neuter surgeries, shots for distemper and rabies (if they're of age), FIV and FeLV testing, and Revolution treatment for worms, fleas, and ticks, besides stool samples (if necessary). All of our cats are microchipped, and it is the adopter's responsibility to keep their information up to date.

Meet-and-greets are only scheduled after adoption applications and agreements have been processed and given the first round of approval. We offer virtual meet-and-greets in addition to in-person. This is dependent on the needs of our foster homes and our cats. Adoption appointments are scheduled after meet-and-greets, and pending approval.

**We DO NOT do gift or surprise adoptions**

**For adopters with children, all children who are a part of the household MUST ATTEND meet-and-greets**

Our cats' best interest comes first, and always will. We care about the long-term well-being of them and choose adopters based on who is best suited to meet each cat's individual personalities and needs.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.

Thank you for your interest in adopting from us and have a pawsome day!
