Meet Esme
Esme is a 3 year old abuse victim. Because of that, she prefers women, but once she knows she can trust you she’s very affectionate.
Esme is very sweet. She's a motherly type of cat, so if you have kittens or younger cats, she will take care of them as if they were her own!
She's in good health and looking for a home where she will be loved and respected.

Interested in adopting from us? Please fill out an adoption application and an adoption agreement on our website. Simply follow the steps below:
- Go to www.asbrescue.org
- Click the tab ADOPTION and scroll to the bottom of the page
- Click ADOPTION APPLICATION
- Click ADOPTION AGREEMENT
**Please read the adoption application and the adoption agreement thoroughly and reach out with any questions**
Please note that there is a $25 nonrefundable application processing fee. This fee will be credited toward the adoption fee total if the adoption goes through. Adoption fees for purebreds, i.e. Bengal, Siamese, and Maine Coon are higher than domestics. Adoption fees for kittens are higher than seniors. Payment can be made via PayPal and Venmo (links listed on our website), or by check. Please include the name of the cat you're interested in with the payment.
All required vetting is completed before cats go to their forever homes. This includes spay/neuter surgeries, shots for distemper and rabies (if they're of age), FIV and FeLV testing, and Revolution treatment for worms, fleas, and ticks, besides stool samples (if necessary). All of our cats are microchipped, and it is the adopter's responsibility to keep their information up to date.
Meet-and-greets are only scheduled after adoption applications and agreements have been processed and given the first round of approval. We offer virtual meet-and-greets in addition to in-person. This is dependent on the needs of our foster homes and our cats. Adoption appointments are scheduled after meet-and-greets, and pending approval.
**We DO NOT do gift or surprise adoptions**
**For adopters with children, all children who are a part of the household MUST ATTEND meet-and-greets**
Our cats' best interest comes first, and always will. We care about the long-term well-being of them and choose adopters based on who is best suited to meet each cat's individual personalities and needs.
Please let us know if you have any further questions.
Thank you for your interest in adopting from us and have a pawsome day!
