Meet Eclipse
Eclipse is a darling, velvety black, male kitty. He is playful, affectionate, smart and very friendly, wants nothing more to be with people and interact. He loves playing with his toys.
He has lots of energy and he just adores his snuggle time. If you’re looking for a cat to cuddle with he’s your boy! He loves to cuddle under covers with his person or lie on your chest while snuggling his little head under your chin. He is simply adorable. And what makes this guy truly special is that he’s partially blind, but this doesn’t hold him back in anyway! He can use stairs with a little direction in the beginning, climb furniture and cat trees, he can chase toys that have noise like his squeaky mice, or scents like catnip. He can also see shades and shapes so he has the ability to see toys that have contrast against a background. He’s smart and curious guy. Because of his blindness Eclipse is an indoor only kitty.
This adorable guy had a difficult, sad past. Originally found in a feral colony in San Jose (although he was never a feral cat—far too friendly) he was trapped, neutered, and released back into same area. He did not do well, he became emaciated, skin and bones when he was brought back to the local shelter, where he was diagnosed with partial blindness. The stress of the shelter enviroment sadly caused him to start pulling his fur out, he looked in pretty miserable shape. We pulled him from the shelter and he began his journey to recovery, love, healing. Now he’s healthy and looking for his forever home.
His approximate date of is 04/15/21.

We try our best to match our cats to the perfect homes, and match them based on their personalities, not their looks. Adoptions are not done on a first come, first serve basis, rather in the order of what homes are the right match for that particular cat. By adopting a cat, you're making a commitment to provide love, care, and medical treatment for the life of the cat, which can be up to 20 years or more.
