Meet Dudley! Dudley came into our care during one of Iowa’s cold November weekends and the second we saw him, we just knew he needed help. Dudley had wandered over to the local food pantry as if he was asking for participants to help him and to his fortune, a kind couple did. They quickly scooped him up and brought him to us for safety and warmth. Dudley had a few scratches on his nose, was quite hungry and covered in burrs. He immediately ate a quick snack and then found soundly asleep on his blanket, perhaps the first time he ever felt true safety. Dudley slept so soundly that we pulled burrs off him without him noticing, one at a time until dozens had been removed. Days after, he was taken to the vet where he received proper medical care and as they say - the rest is history! Since that time, Dudley has just blossomed into a beautiful boy. He has a long buff and white coat. He keeps himself groomed nicely, but is also looking for a family familiar with long hair to help him keep it tangle free. Dudley does well with other cats, still loves treat time and big, cushy beds. He is very snuggly, loves all people and enjoys the safety and security of the indoor life. Dudley made Better Together his first home, but he’s ready to see what a forever home can provide!
