Hi there! My name is Duckie, and I'm hoping to find my forever home. Let me tell you more about me!

I came to Wayside Waifs because my previous owners could no longer care for me. When I came to the shelter I was a little shy and uncertain of the new environment. I made quick friends with the staff and volunteers at the shelter, but moving from one place to another did cause me to get a bit stressed. I love my friends so much that I wanted a lap to sit on ALL the time. But, they didn't have enough time or laps to accommodate sweet little me. That's when I meet my foster mom. She met me and saw how badly I wanted to hang out with a person and told me she could take me home until I was adopted. I was ecstatic!

Life in foster has been so much fun! I quickly explored the whole house. I love to hang out with my foster mom and get pets. My foster mom loves how big of a love bug I am! She says I have the most delightful and friendly personality. My absolute favorite things is looking out the window at the birds and other animals. My foster mom says I've been a wonderful companion! Very neat and tidy about my litterbox usage. I love every toy she shows me! Plus, I'm overall just a very confident guy!

Every night when my foster mom tucks me in to sleep, she tells me I'll find my family soon. The family I came all the way to Kansas City to find! She says they'll love me and my happy personality, and that I'll love them back with my whole heart. It's hard to imagine loving someone as much as I love her, but I have a feeling my heart can grow to love more and more with each passing day! ADOPTION INFORMATION: All Wayside Waifs pets are spayed/neutered and up-to-date on vaccinations prior to adoption. Please note that in order to make the best match possible, potential adopters must come to the Wayside Waifs in person to meet with an adoption counselor and complete the adoption process. All members of the household (including other pets, if possible) should be present to ensure the chosen pet is compatible with everyone. We do not place holds or do adoptions over the phone and we do not ship pets.
