Hi there, my name is Duchess and I am a 2-year-old Lynx Point Siamese mix with stunning turquoise eyes. I have had a rough start in life, coming from a hoarding situation with over 100 cats. I was highly undersocialized and fearful, but with some patience and love, I have made great progress in the past year.

I am a sweet and gentle cat, but I am shy with new people and it takes me some time to warm up in a new environment. I would love to have a feline friend, but I need a home with either one or no other cats to continue my socialization with humans.

I am not aggressive, just scared, and I have no mean bones in my body. I am food motivated and love lickable treats. I enjoy pets, but on my terms, and I have grown to love being around my humans even though I may run away if approached too quickly.

I would do best in a mellow home, preferably with adults or calm children who will respect my shyness and interact with me on my terms. I love to explore and play with toys, and I am looking for a patient adopter who will continue to work with me as I adjust to my new home.
