Drake Domestic Short Hair Lubbock, TX

Drake was living at Market Street on 50th & Indiana. He was continuing to try to engage with people although still being a little fearful and the management at the grocery store did not want him there. He was trapped by one of our SPCA fosters late one night in July. He had what we thought was a serious injury to his face and nose. We weren’t sure at this point if he was feral or tame but quickly found out he was a thankful kitty. After a visit to the vet, he was diagnosed with severe flea dermatitis which has caused some scars he will always have. He obviously has an allergy to fleas and will need to be in a flea free environment. He also has a crook in his tail. Both dangers of being an outside cat.

Drake is a young adult we estimate to be abut 1 1/2 years old that loves to play and rub on your legs. He loves to be with his people and will jump in your lap. It takes him a little while to settle down because he is so busy begging for attention and can get a little grabby. He plays rough with some of the other cats in his foster home but is learning to be kind. He will do best with older cat-friendly children but will be a great companion if given the chance. Drake is a true love bug, a very grateful kitty, looking for his forever, indoor home.

Drake’s adoption fee is $150-he has been vaccinated, had rabies shot, been treated for fleas and his dermatitis, microchipped, and neutered. He is also negative for Feline Leukemia and FIV.
