Dixie is a wild kitty; she is the perfect mix of sweet and sassy! Dixie is composed, confident and cool. She plays with cat springs and rejoices in rolling around in a pile of catnip on the floor. Dixie adores sunbathing in her cat tree snuggled up with a kitty friend. She is a shoelace addict and does her best to untie them again and again! Dixie takes to being picked up and sits cozily with her human companion. Her ideal home is with an individual, couple or family; Dixie is docile and will do well with children of any age. She has been observed doing fine with other cats, kittens and a cat-friendly dog; Dixie's companion is kitty Theo. A slow introduction to new pets is recommended. She is a brown tiger tabby who thinks her photos are more adorable when she is belly up! As of January 2024, Dixie is 3 months old.
Friends of Jackson County Animal Shelter Pets (FJCASP) is a foster-based rescue for dogs and cats. All pets are in a home environment cared for by a foster person who provides temporary care until the pet can be placed in a permanent home. Friends of Jackson County is an all-volunteer, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization.
