Dinky is a very sweet girl who loves to be close to her person. Though not yet a lap cat, she’s working on it! She has a soft little voice and gives a “peep” when she wants to be noticed.
She has so much fun carrying a favorite toy around the house in her mouth and has a special song she sings when she is parading around her toy, very proud of herself. Dinky is truly a diamond in the rough, an adorable girl. She sleeps with her face in her hands which we call this yoga pose 'downward-facing cat'. Oh, and her whiskers are nothing short of magnificent!
Her favorite, is catching treats and chasing treats you can toss in the air or across the floor. She'll even catch them in her mouth or paws if thrown to her.
What a wonderful baker she is … with her rolls and air biscuits. A second favorite is window watching and sunbathing, with all the goings on outside, birds and squirrels and other critters.
Dinky is currently grieving the loss of her person, whom she was very close to, so Dinky will need a patient and loving home to give her the time she needs to feel comfortable and start to bond. We don't know the timeline around this as Dinky is very sensitive and a bit of an old soul. She loves hard and wants so terribly to be loved, but still struggles with trust.
Providing Dinky a lifetime safe haven is essential to her growth and wellness so she can blossom into the amazing girl she really wants to be and was in her first home. Dinky really enjoys the mellow, docile, passive and non-dominant, male cat in her foster home, but would be happy as a solo cat. Female cats are a no-go with Dinky and any animal needs a gentle and slow introduction. She has also done okay with a small, friendly dog.
She will thrive in a calm home that will remain child-free. Dinky has great litter box manners.
