Meet Cobbler
F - 6 months old - Gray Tabby Domestic Shorthair -
Cobbler is a unique girl who has come a long way in learning how to trust humans during her time here at Miss Winkles, but still has a little ways to go. She came in very reserved and apprehensive of people, but did great with her brother, Blueberry, who has since been adopted. After seeing that she wasn't doing well alone in her kitty condo, a staff member has taken her under their wing, working with her one-on-one on a daily basis with socialization.
Right now, she still is apprehensive of people, but will let you pet her from head to toe, with little scratches under her chin and on her shoulders. She even enjoys a few scratches near the top of her tail. But she doesn't quite know how to gently let you know when she's overstimulated, so she will swat to let you know it's too much. Her sweet throaty purrs as she sits near you (but not quite on you) lets you know when you've earned her trust.
With lots of Churu treats and some more time and love, we know she'll flourish into the sweet and well adjusted kitty we know she can be. It will take someone who is patient, with an easy going personality, to help her continue to come out of her shell in her new home.

To adopt, come see us! We're open for walk-ins Tuesday - Sunday from 1 PM to 5 PM with adoptions closing at 4:30 PM each day. All adoptions are $25 and our pets are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to head home with you.
