Cinder Domestic Short Hair Mix Lake Wylie, SC

Cinder is 5 years old, 10 lbs.
she’s been diagnosed with FIC (feline idiopathic cystitis) and we’re doing everything we can to help her but it looks to me like she requires a more stable environment that we haven’t been able to provide. FIC is made worse by stress and change in routine and my poor girl is miserable. She’s the most gentle, and sweet girl and it is breaking my heart to see her struggling. I think she would do well with other cats. We have an older male that she gets along with but I’m sure she’d love playmates since boredom seems to stress her. She loves people and attention but needs a routine. Please review my case to see if you’re able to take her. She really deserves to be happy and flare-free.

She is strictly an indoor cat and at the time of her most recent health visits,
Beyond her FIC diagnosis, Cinder is healthy. All her tests are normal. She is currently starting a prescription of fluoxetine, which is our only other option for her treatment without just providing her with a new environment.
Will urinate on soft items outside of the litter box when she is in an FIC flare.
