Meet Chloe-Sweet and Shy Calico

There never has never been such a sweet, soft, shy and perfect calico as Chloe. It's not just her unique gray, orange and white patterns that decorate her soft, rich fur, or her medium (8-9 lbs) sized, lean figure. Her quiet, sweet, gentle behavior make her a joy to have in the home. Thought to be about 1 year old, she embraces an old and wise soul. While playful at times, she's more often found deep in thought staring out a window, or resting in the sunshine, replaying the choices she's made in her storied short life. Though her history is unknown, she has been one of her foster family's favorite cats! Found as a stray and clearly pregnant, Chloe was timid and shy at first. Within 48 hours in foster care, however, she was comfortable in her new room. By day 3 she looked forward to feeding, visits, and play time. For three weeks, she enjoyed the maternity ward - growing bigger and bigger each day! Finally, on Superbowl Sunday just before kickoff - she went into labor. And just as the game went into overtime, she had her sixth and last kitten!

Everything that makes Chloe a perfect cat made her an even more perfect mother. She was very attentive and loving with her babies while fully trusting her foster parents to check, monitor, and engage with the kittens. Now that her youngsters are eating on their own and ready to be adopted soon, Chloe is ready to go to her next and last forever home. She is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated for rabies and FVRCP, dewormed, and tested negative for FIV/FELV. She is litterbox trained, an easy eater (not picky, loves treats, food motivated), and easily loaded in the carrier. Chloe is uncharacteristically well behaved (for a calico), enjoys time with people but can spend hours alone, not very vocal at all (very little meowing) and even her purr is a low, soft humm. Because she is shy at first, visits may not be a 100% accurate depiction of what she would be like in her new home, but whoever takes a chance on this lovely princess will not regret it!

Laurel Cats does not have a shelter or storefront. Our kittens and cats are placed in the homes of loving volunteer fosters until they are adopted. This means our cats are accustomed to being handled and loved. Please ask questions if you're interested in any of our cats.
