Meet CHILDE (cc#6963)

A year ago this cat was picked up by animal control when they were working with a feral colony. Not at all feral and actually a friendly cat, we're guessing he lost his way (or his family moved away without him) and he teamed up with the colony for food. Once at the shelter he immediately came to the front of his cage for attention. Not wanting to return him to a feral life, and hoping that maybe there was someone looking for him he was held at the shelter waiting. No one came looking and we found nothing in the many Lost & Found Groups postings.

It wasn't long before he was adopted. We were so happy he had a home to call his own. BUT THEN..... Recently (about a year after the adoption) we received a call that the owner would moving and where he was going the family was allergic to cats, so he rehomed the cat with a friend. Perfect, we thought..... but not much time went by and the cat was returned. The new family's child was highly allergic to cats. Poor kitty.... He's such a sweetie..... We've promised him we would find him another home, and that's what we're trying to do right now.

While in a home, Childe was vetted, given a Rabies and a Distemper Vaccination, and was neutered. (His records show the vaccinations were done in September, 2023. That means they should be updated, which we anticipate doing shortly.)

The return release says the cat's name is "Childe". "Childe" is a young adult, neutered male, DSH (domestic short hair) now about 2 years or so old. And for a plus, at the shelter he uses his litter box.
