Meet Cedar

Cedar is a very special, somewhat timid, teddy bear floof of a cat. He’s the sweetest gentle giant, and he deserves the very best home. He is excited to find his perfect human(s).

The way to Cedar’s heart is through predictable movements, a soft voice, gentle pats, wand toys, and all the Churu. Once he knows he’s settled, he’ll eagerly great you looking for pats and treats. Because he’s still timid, he would do best in a calm, quiet home.

Cedar’s a fairly low energy, laid back guy for his young age. He plays happily with his foster sisters, but spends most of his time lounging. He’s fairly relaxed and confident around other cats, but prefers companions who will respect his space and energy level. He still gets nervous sometimes when he gets overwhelmed or startled by sudden movements. He’s become quite attached to both of his foster sisters while in care (Freddie and Penny). If there were a unicorn of an adopter out there who would take all three, they would really love to stay together.

He doesn’t enjoy being picked up or held yet, but he’ll happily sit beside you and purr softly while you stroke his soft fur and he gazes adoringly at you (he really loves eye contact). If you’re lucky he’ll paw at you with his gentle teddy bear paws. He’s learned to tolerate (dare I say tentatively enjoy) being brushed, which is good because his long fur will need regular attention. He had some mats shaved when he first came into care, so he still looks a bit disheveled. But he’ll be an absolutely beautiful cat once all his majestic hair grows back.

This boy really does have a special, tender personality and will make a very dear companion to whoever is lucky enough to adopt him.
