Carmella was a surprise that showed up to our front door step on December 16th, 2023... a week before Christmas. We were taking out the cat litter in the early evening and she caught our eye when she was startled. We quickly ran inside, grabbed the Temptations cat treats and sat on the step, calling out to her and shaking the treat container. She happily trotted right up to us and we simply scooped her into our arms and brought her inside. The poor little thing was starving. She loves it when it's wet pate food feeding time here at the rescue and eats everything on her plate.

Carmella was given her name because her tortie coat reminds us of caramel, and because we happen to be Sopranos fans. :) She is an extremely loveable girl that is friendly with other kittens & cats. She would love to find a home where she can play with another kitty, as she is very active and playful. We feel that she would really miss having a buddy to play with if she were an only cat.

Carmella is very sweet, affectionate, and playful. She has a very quiet and content demeanor. She doesn't mind being picked up and snuggled with on the sofa. She loves playing with other kitties, and will play with their paws under doors. She also likes to keep to herself and will climb back into her designated cage when she wants to sleep. Her favourite toys are a tower of tracks and a round corrugated scratch pad enclosed in a plastic track with a ball, as she likes to swat the ball around in circles. She also loves plush catnip toys. They entertain her for quite some time.
