Calipso Bombay Mix River Forest, IL

Well, hello there! My name is Calipso, and I'm a little black beauty with a heart as big as the moon. As you can see, I'm rocking this sleek midnight coat that makes my golden eyes pop like stars in the night sky!
I'm what the humans here call a "social butterfly." The moment anyone walks into the room, I'm right there to greet them with enthusiastic head bumps and my signature purr that rumbles like a tiny engine. Personal space? Never heard of it! I believe laps were invented specifically for kittens like me to curl up on.
My absolute favorite person in the whole world (besides you, my future family!) is my best friend Electra. We do EVERYTHING together! We chase each other around in wild games of tag, we share our toys (okay, sometimes I "borrow" hers when she's not looking), and when it's naptime, you'll find us cuddled up in one adorable purring pile. The shelter volunteers call us "The Inseparable Duo," and they're not wrong!
Speaking of things I love – FOOD! When mealtime comes around, I do this special little dance that everyone finds hilarious. Two paws up, spin around, meow excitedly, repeat! I'm not picky about what goes in my bowl, but I do appreciate the finer things in life, like the occasional bit of wet food or a fancy treat.
During the day, I enjoy watching birds through the window (so fascinating!), batting toy mice across the floor (I'm quite the athlete), and climbing to the highest spots I can find (the better to survey my kingdom). At night, I'm all about cuddles and would love nothing more than to sleep curled up next to you, keeping your feet warm and your heart fuller.
Here's my dream: finding a forever home where both Electra and I can stay together. We promise to fill your home with double the love, double the purrs, and yes, double the entertaining antics! We're a package deal – the best two-for-one special you'll ever find!
I'm already litter trained, up-to-date on my vaccines, and have been spayed. I'm healthy, happy, and so ready to bring my special brand of joy to your home.
