Meet CAIA & DAIJA
CAIA and DAIJA are gorgeous little girls! Caia is a 4.5 month old TORTOISESHELL DOMESTIC SHORTHAIR with green-gold eyes, and beautiful soft fur in shades of black, tan, red, and brown. Daija is a 5.5 month old TABBY DOMESTIC MEDIUMHAIR, with green-gold eyes, silky soft fur in shades of tan and black, and a set of awesome ear tufts. They are both spayed, up to date with rabies and distemper vaccines, dewormed microchipped, felv/fiv negative, 100% litterbox trained, and have their claws.
Before we got Daija, we were told she had a badly fractured left front leg, that couldn’t be saved. We got her the day after it was removed, and the first thing we did, was take her to our vet, where they discovered it was badly infected. So she again went into surgery, they debrided the infected tissue, and was put on antibiotics. It was also discovered during her amputation, some harsh drugs were used, which affected her kidneys. It didn’t look like things were going too good for her, in her short little life. Well, she spent a few days in the hospital, they flushed out her system to get rid of the drugs, her kidneys went back to normal and her amputation healed. She was on the mend!
Caia is a very quiet, calm little girl who has no tortitude at all! She just goes with “the flow” and has no complaints in life.
Both girls like it when their foster mom sits on the floor, so they can sit on her lap or next to her with a paw draped over, or head resting on her leg. They both love sleeping on our bed at night, or on a cat tree nearby. They both love saying goodnight and good morning, by snuggling close to us on our bed and getting their nose scritches and pets.
They are both pretty low key. They like to see what we’re up to, especially Daija, so they follow us from room to room during the day, and camp out in the cat tree until we move to another room, and then camp out in that cat tree. We have cat trees in every room, so they always have a comfy place to hang out. During the day, if they want to be in a quiet spot, they’ve also been know to hang out on our bed. They also like wand toys, fuzzy little toys, da rat, play center, electronic toys, chasing, wrestling, going in the enclosed catio and watching the wildlife outside. Caia also loves the yeowww sardine. But like I said, pretty low key, and not rambunctious kittens at all. Daija being a tripod, doesn’t slow her down one bit! She climbs cat trees, jumps up on things, wrestles, runs, etc, just like any “regular” kitten. She needs no special requirements.
Here’s the special needs part. We don’t know what horrendous event occurred that led to Daija losing her leg, but it effected her greatly. She is afraid of strangers, noise, heavy steps, etc. She’ll need someone that is very patient with her, and give her the time to love and trust you. Once she does, she’s beautifully loving.
If you watch her video, she is like this everyday with her foster mom. She’s the first to lay by you in bed and give you purrs and get her pets. She loves to get her nose and belly rubs. During playtime, I sit on the floor, and she is always the first one there to lay on my leg. What she doesn’t like, is to get picked up, it makes her very nervous. Caia on the other hand, likes to be picked up and cuddled and loves to lay on your lap.
The best home for them would be a quiet home with no dogs and no small kids. (Under 12 yrs old). They would need a slow introduction period if there are resident cats.
ADOPTION FEE (for the pair) $275. FOSTERED IN CAMPBELLSPORT, WI
