Buddy (fka Nobel) Domestic Short Hair Mix Cumberland, ME

Buddy is a handsome, 10-year-old tabby guy who has a white bib on his chest and simply stunning green eyes. Originally from Tennessee, Buddy came to Maine in 2017 to find his furrever home, and he was adopted shortly thereafter. He found himself back at HART in mid-2023 when circumstances in his home changed and his former guardian unfortunately could no longer provide him care. Buddy is a super-friendly and playful cat, and he LOVES to get attention from our volunteers and staff. He will greet you when you enter the room, and given the opportunity, he will gladly sit on your lap.

Buddy has a history of allergies, stress, and overgrooming, and these issues are being well-managed with medications and a special diet of duck. Although decidedly a good boy, Buddy does have a "spicy" side to his personality, so he will need a cat-savvy adopter who understands cat body language and is experienced in giving medication. We will require that his adopter has an established relationship with a veterinarian. Buddy's ideal home would be one where he could be on his own or with perhaps with one other calm kitty, and possibly with children 12 and older.
