BOOMER.....
This big hunk of burning love is looking for a home. We believe he is between 5 and 6 years of age.

He was found in a feral colony. When brought in to be neutered he found he greatly prefers to be an indoor only cat.

When he was at the veterinarian for his neutering, vaccinations and blood work it was discovered that he is FIV positive. He is with a foster now in Surfside SC.

Please text us if you are wanting to give him a home and warm lap. 843-455-6199 and we will connect you with the caretaker.

Discuss adoption fee with caretaker.

Time is of the essence!

Please be sure to read up on what it means for a cat to be FIV positive:
Yes, you can consider adopting an FIV positive cat, as many can live long, healthy lives just like any other cat, and are often overlooked in shelters despite being just as loving and capable of a fulfilling life; however, it's important to understand the implications of FIV and take necessary precautions, especially if you have other cats at home, by consulting with your veterinarian before making a decision.
Key points to consider:
FIV transmission:
FIV is primarily transmitted through deep bite wounds, so keeping cats neutered and managing interactions between FIV positive and negative cats can significantly reduce the risk of transmission.
Living with other cats:
While it's generally safe to have an FIV positive cat with other cats if they are all indoor, neutered, and interact peacefully, some people may choose to keep their FIV positive cat separate from other cats as a precaution.
Lifespan:
Research shows that many FIV positive cats can live long, healthy lives with proper care, and may not even show any symptoms of the virus.
Benefits of adoption:
Adopting an FIV positive cat can save a life as they are often overlooked in shelters and may be euthanized due to their status.
