BooBoo is an 8 year old female cat who came to one of our foster homes as a young kitten with her sister Yogi on Halloween night in 2016.
Booboo became very attached to the foster family's dog and they decided to adopt her and keep her with the family. Booboo has been doing well at home over the years, always cuddling up to the countless foster dogs that have come through over the years.
Booboo is the youngest cat in the family, and as everyone in the house as aged, she has become more dominant and creating added stress for the other cats in the house.
Her family though it may be best for everyone in the house to rehome her to a new family.
Booboo is easy going with people, she is sometimes vocal but not to the point of being annoying. She always bonds more with dogs and people than cats.
She did have some health issues when she was younger where she was eating vet prescribed food and taking a pill each day, but as she has aged, the issue seems to have settled down, where she no longer takes the daily pill, but is still on the special food. What it was is that she had an issue with her stomach lining when she was a kitten, that it took her a while to grow out of, so she still eats Science Diet ID dry food. Other than that, she is healthy though a bit overweight.
Booboo would do best in a home WITH dogs, and without cats. (She seems to bond better with the larger dogs.)
Her family plans to cover her adoption fee, and care for her until she finds a new home.
WE ARE A NO-KILL 501-C-3 NON-PROFIT RESCUE. All donations are tax deductible. We do not have a shelter. All pets live in foster homes. We only adopt to indoor homes. To see an animal, you must fill out an application first and then once approved, we can set up for you to meet the animal you are interested in. We do background checks on all applicants. If you have assault, domestic abuse, or drug charges please do not apply. If you have questions, please send an email to waverlypetrescue@mchsi.com
All animals see a vet for shots and normal exams. If they appear healthy and there are no obvious health concerns, then extensive testing is not done. This is normal procedure for pet rescues and shelters.
Waverly Pet Rescue puts a lot of money into medical care for each dog and cat we take in. $250 is the average cost for basic care. This does not include if the animal had an injury, required extra flea / ear mite treatments, or needed extra days at the vet office.
