Meet Burger (M with tabby spots near his eye, pic 5) and Nugget (F, pic 4)! These siblings are two of the sweetest, calmest cats their foster mom has ever had the pleasure of knowing. This extremely bonded pair love each other, lap time, and cat trees! While a little shy when approached, they greet their foster mom when she comes home, and get very excited when there is an open lap and at bed time. Nugget has recently discovered that she LOVES to get under the covers in bed, which has made for a cozy, snuggly winter. Burger is a little less demanding of attention, sleeping at the foot of the bed or observing from the cat tree. He is also a talker, chirping at his foster mom from the next room all about his explorations, though he is considerate enough to quiet his chatter at night. Nugget and Burger like to play with each other and amuse themselves with fuzzy toys. With a little coaxing, Nugget will get really excited about a laser pointer. They have done so incredibly well with their foster's two resident cats, who are not usually the friendliest towards new additions to the house. If things get tense, they just calmly move to a different room. While they have not been around children, their foster thinks they would react the same with kids. While they can be enthusiastic scratchers, it is always on the cat trees or other approved surfaces; if they have a scratching post available, that’s where they go! They are also really good with nail trims if done slowly. Burger does sometimes try to sneak out the door when his foster mom leaves the house, but they are working on discouraging that behavior and he is getting the message that outside doors are not for him. As you can tell by their chonky bellies, Burger and Nugget aren’t at all picky about food. They have a feeding schedule, but never scream for food and will NOT be waking you up at 5 AM to be fed. Burger and Nugget have been a welcome addition to their foster family, and will be a wonderful addition to any home.
