Meet Blanco
Blanco was brought into the NYC ACC (shelter) due to a scratch which broke skin. The owner admits the scratch was during play but decided to bring him to a shelter anyway. Blanco is a very playful kitten, just about 6 months old he is full of energy. Scratches are definitely going to happen upon play with a kitten like Blanco. In foster care he loves every toy you show him and is a lot of fun!
Blanco does appear to be deaf, although this is not confirmed by a veterinarian. We observe that he does not respond to sounds that most kittens his age would. The fact that he is all white, blue eyes, may increase the chance that he would be deaf as this is common in cats of that color.
Blanco is healthy otherwise, vaccinated, blood tested negative, neutered and ready for adoption. We will be cautious in placing him in a home with a very young child 5 or under due to his rough play habits that we are working on in foster care.
