Meet Bear Cat
Hi, my name is Bear Cat! I'm a PURPLE pawprint, which means I will fit well into a home that meets some specific criteria. Here is what would work best for me in my new home:
-Personality: Shy, independent, affectionate
-Can Live with Cats: Bear Cat tolerated the cat in her previous home, but may prefer to be your only feline companion.
-Can Live with Dogs: Unknown history - slow and supervised introductions. No rambunctious dogs who would chase or antagonize her.
-Can Live with Kids: Likely yes - cat savvy and respectful.
-Needs Indoor Only Home: Encouraged
-History of Litter Box Issues: No
-Energy Level: Medium
-Bite History: No
-Needs Medical Procedure Before Going Home: Nope, Let's go home!
Meet Bear Cat - a little cat that looks like a bear. She was brought in after her owner was no longer able to care for her. She's been pretty shy in shelter, but her previous owner did let us know that once she's comfortable she's quite independent and chatty. She is not a huge fan of being picked up and would prefer you let her come to you! She's a certified lap kitty who would love to lounge around and accept ear/cheek scratches.
If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website (www.whatcomhumane.org/adopt) or in person at our facility. We recommend calling into the shelter after your application has been submitted so our front desk can give you next steps on our adoption process.
