Meet Bea
Are you looking for a cat who enjoys her alone time but also values emotional connection with people? Then Bea might be the perfect match for you!
Bea treasures emotional bonds, but she prefers physical affection on her own terms. In other words, petting is only allowed when she feels like it!
She’ll quietly settle down near you and give you slow blinks from across the room—a true expert in subtle affection. If you respect her space, she’ll be a loyal companion who’s always nearby. She may take a step back if you approach too quickly, but a bit of Churu and a fun toy will quickly win her back.
Bea was rescued with her siblings when she was around three months old. She’s full of curiosity but also quite cautious, so it took her a long time to learn to trust people. She’s always lived with her siblings and the resident cats at her foster home, and she still trusts other cats more than humans.
Bea enjoys spending time around people. When I eat at the dining table, she picks a spot nearby to watch me. When I’m working, she sneaks into the office and joins my meetings. She’ll follow me into the bathroom, and she’s always close by when I’m watching TV. Sometimes, she’ll even hop onto the bed while I’m sleeping and play with my toes.
Yes, Bea is a bit of a sassy queen. When she’s in a good mood, she’ll let your hand linger without complaint—but other times, she might give you a gentle paw punch to say “no thanks!” It’s so adorable that I sometimes can’t help but ignore her warning.
Bea shows affection in her own special way: she is shy, but she loves to sit near you and watch what you’re up to. Independent yet always close, Bea is waiting for a home that will understand and appreciate her delicate heart.
What Bea is looking for in a home:
- She would do best in a calm, quiet, household.
- Loud noises and fast or sudden movements make her anxious.
- She has lots of energy and will benefit from plenty of active play time.
- She needs to live indoors only.
- She has a good history with other cats.
- She would likely do best in an adults-only home or perhaps in a household with a quiet, respectful teen.
All Alley Cat Project cats are spayed/neutered, microchipped and vaccinated prior to adoption.
Thank you for your interest in Bea! If your household fits the above criteria, you can apply to adopt them by filling out this questionnaire: https://bit.ly/ACPAdoptionForm
