Batman and Robin Domestic Short Hair Melrose, MA

Batman and Robin are an odd-couple bonded pair. Robin is a sweet, friendly little calico kitten, only about three months old. She loves to play and cuddle, and is pretty much everything anyone could want in a kitten. Batman is a shy adult, about four years old. He came out of a hoarding situation where he did not receive much human attention, so he is very slow to adjust to new humans. He allows petting on his own terms, but doesn't seek it out. Robin is gradually helping Batman come out of his shell, and Batman has taken on the role of protective uncle toward the little lass. He grooms her, gently plays with her, and generally looks after her. They sometimes sit touching paws. Little Robin can play with his tail or chew on his ear, but Batman is always gentle and protective. It's quite touching to see. We haven't observed them with children or dogs. We think they would do well with children who are mature enough to treat cats respectfully and understand their dynamic. They'd be an excellent pair for an adopter who wants a little sweetheart of a kitten and is willing to be patient with Batman as he adjusts more slowly. Because they are bonded to each other, they must be adopted together.

They have:
- been spayed/neutered
- been vaccinated as age-appropriate
- tested negative for FeLV and FIV.
- been treated for fleas and worms

Their adopter will receive their medical records. There is a simple adoption process and an adoption fee so we can continue to help cats in need. To facilitate this, their fee has been substantially reduced to a mere $295 for the pair-- a bargain for two best friends who will love you for the rest of their lives. They're being fostered in Allston.

Cats can live up to 20 years, so give careful thought to the changes that are likely to occur in your life during that time.
