Meet BasBousa

Just a couple of months ago in the dead of summer, I was a tiny baby sitting in a box with all my brothers and sisters in a food market in Egypt, being sold like a head of broccoli. My mom had given birth in that market a few times, and people would steal her babies and sell them right there in the store. A nice woman came by and saw that I was blind, and she negotiated my freedom, along with the rest of my siblings. Fast forward to September, and I'm in the Big Apple, shooting my shot for a forever home!

I am so, so sweet and I just want to climb up the length of your body to get near your face and head at all times. If you ignore me, I'll run after you and jump up on whatever surface is near you so that I can be near your face. I may even try to take a flying leap from a high surface onto you so I can sit in your shoulder like a parrot. Yes, I'm blind, but my other senses are really sharp, and I rarely miss my mark.

Even though I'm regarded as a "special needs" kitty, I really don't need anything special besides your love and constant attention! I get around just fine, never miss the litterbox, and am super well behaved. But if you're not into constant cuddling and affection, I will get annoying, so please make sure you're into physical touch and being with me a lot if you want to adopt me.

Note: BasBousa is still quite small so we will plan to have her spayed after she has settled into her new home early next year once she has grown a bit more.
