ARABELLA Domestic Short Hair & Tabby Mix Brazil, IN

ARABELLA is a 3 year old domestic short hair Tabby taken in as an injured, lost cat on 5/27/23. Her pelvis was fractured after being hit by a car. At intake, she was panting, bleeding and not using her right back leg. The treatment for pelvic fractures is bed rest and takes approximately 6-8 weeks to heal. Arabella had plenty of time to rest and has healed well. She's strikingly marked, but glimpses of Arabella standing or walking about, instead of hidden in a cubby or corner were rare for some time. An introverted kitty the first 6 months she spent with us, she kept to herself, but her break out moment came with a Tortie kitten trio. For some odd reason, the 4 of them really hit it off. Arabella was one of the few cats that Prue, Phoebe and Piper weren't mean to. It's like Arabella is Cady Heron in Mean Girls. All 4 of them would lay in a cubby together, with Arabella resting her head in the entry way. Her Tortie charges have moved on to another rescue and we worried about how that might affect Arabella. While it's clear she misses them, Arabella is coping well and as other cats are adopted out and new ones move into the free roam, she always seeks out a new friend to take under her wing. Arabella's adoption fee is $70 and helps cover the cost of her spay, vaccinations, worming, monthly flea and heart worm preventive, microchip and care while at CCHS.
