Meet Apricot Jam
Apricot Jam is an 8 year old cat who has become quite a bit more outgoing while living at the shelter. She arrived scared and hiding, yet now she struts around her room, comes running for wet food, and will take pets and scritches gratefully. She likes to have her belly rubbed too, when she feels confident enough to ask for that! AJ really likes other cats, and particularly loves her best friend Rory.
Apricot Jam came to us at the beginning of 2022. She had been living in a cat colony and she unfortunately contracted FIV. This virus means that the cat has a compromised immunity for illnesses, but FIV cats can also live long, healthy lives.
Apricot Jam would be a permanent foster because of her medical status, although at this time she doesn't require any special medical care. Ask us about how the foster program works!
