This one year old mother kitten was a stray in an area, like so many others in this county, that are overwhelmed with stray cats. Noticing that this pretty young cat was getting “wider” she was brought to The Ark so she would be able to deliver her babies safely. The very next day after she arrived at The Ark she gave birth to 4 beautiful kittens. Maryland law requires that the kittens remain with the mother until they are 8 weeks old; that date will be 6/15/2010. At this time the kittens can go to their new homes…but what about Amanda, the mommy kitty, she will need a loving home too! Everyone wants a baby kitten, no one thinks about the grown kitties. Please don’t be that kind of person. Think about giving Amanda a loving home. She will return your love back ten fold! Please save this kitty from having to spend a long time in the rescue. This picture of Amanda is really terrible, she is a beautiful kitty. But she has been caring for five kittens and has let herslf go just a little bit. Cleaned and brushed she is going to be beautiful!!
