Aiden Domestic Short Hair New Orleans, LA

Aiden is now a one year old kitty who just celebrated his first birthday April '25. He was dumped at a vet clinic as a tiny kitten last year with a terribly ruptured eye. After having his bad eye removed, and getting a lot of love and care for his other, also infected eye from his foster mom, this little pirate is fully healed. Missing an eye does not slow him down or negatively impact his life in anyway. He is now a healthy, happy young adult, forever winking at you.

Aiden lives up to his name (meaning litte fire)-he is full of life and full of love. His special trait is that he walks great on a leash! He loves going for walks outside with his people in his harness. He loves to cuddle, and will take every opportunity to get under the covers with you.

Aiden is a little cautious at first, but once he knows he is safe with you, he opens up. Slow and steady will win the race with him (like most cats), and once he trusts you, he will go anywhere with you and be your little shadow. He loves toys, puzzles, and activities that challenge him. He is a smart kitty and it shows. He loves his wet food and treats!

He also is very curious about water! He takes a bath well, and loves to sit on the edge of the tub while his human bathes. His foster mom expects he might even be a swimmer, but hasn't tested that theory.

Carriers are not Aiden's favorite things, so his new family will probably want to invest some time teaching him that he gets lots of treats and rewards in the carrier, and sometimes he uses his paws to communicate, but theres not a malicious bone in his body. He is in foster with cats and dogs, and does fine with both.

An ideal home for this little guy would be one on the calmer side. His is good with other animals, and loves his people, but very young or very rowdy children probably aren't his cup of tea as he would probably be frightened. He is currently in a home without children, but could likely adapt to a home with older kids who understand patience and how to handle cats.

Aiden is neutered, fully vaccinated, triple tested negative, has had a blood panel with no abnormalities, and is fully healed and recovered from having his eye removed. He requires no special care other than frequent treats and pets, and maybe a wink back at him every. now and then.
