Meet Zuti
This pretty girl is Zuti, a 15 year old Indian Ringneck. She is shy and not hand tame. She is curious and flighted, loves music and likes you to sit by her cage and talk softly to her. She's transitioning to a healthier diet from a lifetime of mostly seed and peanuts.
Update 2/24/2024: Zuti is now on a good diet of Roudybush pellets, fruits and vegetables. She will take treats from the hand. She is learning to target and will move along her perch for a reward.
Update 8/2/2024: Zuti is doing well! We got a larger cage for her with a playtop (it worked better for our space), and she has seemed so much more comfortable going in and out of the cage. She's out most days for a few hours and is very calm. She has gotten used to my kids' high energy playing, which is great. She also has been doing great taking treats from everyone, even new people. She's eager to target train and always comes toward me when she sees I have the training stick in hand. She's still skittish around hands (without treats), but her level of interest in people has gone up a lot lately.
Comes with cage. Vet check normal except for high triglycerides (probably due to poor diet which has been corrected). Adoption fee $350 + $30 membership. Adopter must be within driving distance of Salt Lake City.
